When we begin collaborating with you to build your website, you always know what’s going on because you can “look over our shoulder” through any browser as the website takes form. For our customer’s convenience and to streamline communication we assign each client their own beta development space during the website’s development. This will promote communication and comfort as critical benchmarks are achieved during the development. Our standard Beta setup will include a full UNIX account, databases, remote access, domains, etc.

Website Audits

If you have an existing website and wonder if it works well on different products and browsers we can help.   You should have piece of mind that it will appear on every Desktop, Tablet and Mobile device correctly. Our approach takes a day or two, but it’s better because we visually review your site on the most widely used browsers and look for formatting irregularities or anomalies. (i.e. Things like incorrect fonts/spacing/bad justification or things that don’t render correctly). If found, a report is created by using screen captures of the site and sent to you, enabling you to remedy the issue in that browser and make quicker updates to your site.

Testing

We maintain a testing server and a host of tools.  Your website will be tested and validated against all major browsers on Desktop/Laptop, Tablet and Smartphone formats.

Hosting

Alex Montgomery and Associates does not provide hosting, but we will work with you to audit the existing host to ensure they have the latest software versions such as php and permit your desired CMS. We will also handle the migration from the Beta environment to your host as permitted. In rare cases, we may recommend changing your host.

Organic SEO Tips

The design of your website will also contemplate organic SEO through proper webpage file naming, header (<H1><H2><H3>etc.)tags, image tags etc. and ensure that relevant content promotes SEO.

We have been very successful and have consistently maintained a page one return on keywords. To be included in a search, your site must have appropriate, searchable content within your site and should include a more comprehensive description of what you do – you need to match the web surfers or prospects query with the content on your site. Search engines are advanced and are less easy to manipulate.

Most sites can be improved greatly by simply adding some relevant key text that is easily read by web robots about your capabilities. This will increase the number of prospects that will make contact with your organization for the simple reason that they know about you.

If this is not present we will add the tracking script for you at no charge.

Back up

To prevent the loss of your site or human error, we can program your site to be backed up weekly on your host. Some CMS systems allow you to go back multiple steps should someone make a mistake. The Beta environment will also provide another layer of security should the hosting company have a catastrophic failure.
